The monument was commissioned in 2008 by the Larnaka regional committee of large families. The unveiling took place on October 26th 2008.
On the pedestal it is written: “To you mother of many children who sacrifice yourself. You offer your body and soul to society bringing up good citizens to be” (Για σένα μάνα πολύτεκνη που γίνεσαι θυσία, προσφέρεις σώμα και ψυχή σπονδή στην κοινωνία, καλούς πολίτες και αγαθούς παιδιά να μεγαλώσεις).
