The eight years old child is depicted holding stones in memory of his action to throw stones against British soldiers and being shot as a consequence. 

The initiative for the memorial was taken in 2009 by the “Kalogera” elementary school parents’ union and by Kyriakos Teodotou, an EOKA 1955-59 fighter and SIMAE (Board for the Historical Memory of the EOKA 1955-59 struggle) member.
