The initiative for the bust was taken by the Kolossi popular union. The unveiling took place on May 6^th 2001. The memorial is placed next to the Andreas Onisiforou monument.

The initiative for the memorial was taken by the “Andreas & Nikos” nationalist union of Kolossi. The bust was commissioned by the Board for the Historical Memory of the EOKA 1955-59 struggle (ΣΙΜΑΕ/SIMAE). The unveiling took place on April 28^th 2002.

The bust is located next to the Sokratis Neophytou Sokratous bust which was unveiled a year earlier.
