The memorial is dedicated to Zaharias Spyrou (Ζαχαρίας Σπύρου) who died during the Turkish invasion, and the volunteer Michail Petrou (Μιχαήλ Πέτρου) who died during the Second World War. Their images are depicted in relief. It was commissioned by the Xylotymvou Community Committee and the unveiling took place on January 25^th 2003.
