The initiative for the memorial was taken by the Pano Kivides association for the community’s prosperity, and the Pano Kivides youth center. The bust was probably placed 1995-1996.

Aggeliki Sotiriou was a member of EOKA 1955-59 and was known by the nickname “Filimon”. Her memorial is located in close proximity to where she was killed.

The initiative for the commemoration was taken by the women’s organization of the Democratic Party (ΓΟΔΗΚ/GODIK), which also coordinated the fundraising. The unveiling took place on Arpil 1st 1990
