The statue was commissioned by the Diocese of Kition and the “EPA” (ΕΠΑ) sports union. The unveiling took place on November 20th 1988.

Location: Ora village entrance. Larnaka district.

The memorial was funded by the Prefect of Larnaka, the Minister of Interior Affairs Christodoulos Christodoulou, SIMAE (Board for the Historical Memory of the EOKA 1955-59 struggle) and the deceased’s family and friends. The unveiling took place on March 17th 2002. The statue was previously situated on a nearby location which was considered as not appropriate after the renovation of the area. The initial unveiling had taken place on April 9th 1978.
