Savvas Rotsidis was the last EOKA fighter to die. The memorial was commissioned by the “The Prophet Ilias” Agridia emigrants association and The Board for the Historical Memory of the EOKA 1955-59 Struggle (ΣΙΜΑΕ/SIMAE). The unveiling took place on November 24th 2002.

The location was chosen on purpose to mark the place where the fighter died. On the right hand side of the monument is briefly noted the incident of his death.

The initiative for the memorial was taken by Mammari Community Committee and there was a fundraising to cover the construction costs. The unveiling took place on April 7th 1968.
