Dymiotis Nikos (Δυμιώτης Νίκος)

He was born in Nicosia in 1930 and died in 1990. He studied sculpture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. His sculpture was predicated on the human figure and during the period 1969-1974 he experimented with abstract trends. However, due to the Turkish invasion of 1974 his work gained dramatic content and symbolic ramifications, and focused on commemorative sculpture.
